A mandatory evacuation order for all visitors and non-resident property owners (NRPO) is necessary immediately. Dare County Law Enforcement established checkpoints at the Wright Memorial Bridge on March 17th, in a response to updated guidelines from the CDC regarding an urge from the President to limit discretionary travel.
