HOW TO MAKE A FACE MASK TO HELP HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS

State funded colleges should not require civilian instructors to participate in face-to-face instruction during the current pandemic and state of emergency. Specifically in the cases of Basic Law Enforcement Training, Fire Training, Emergency Medical and Rescue Training, Nursing (RN, LPN, CNA), and/or other training specifically requested by public safety and public health response agencies, including the military.

The lack of readiness on behalf of colleges to provide remote instruction during this time of nationally-expanding shelter-in-place orders should not be grounds for the endangerment of civilians who have the unfortunate circumstance of working for a public institution which has an obligation to provide aid and training to these necessary and resource-depleted agencies.

Nor should these public resources be withheld from the above-mentioned agencies and public health and safety service providers. Any public officials who deem necessary the requisition of classrooms, labs, chairs, desks, writing implements, overhead projectors or the like…
