War is On Me:
Millions of families in America and abroad have had war declared on them by Christo fascist thugs.
“In Irish when you talk about an emotion, you don’t say, ‘I am sad.’ You’d say, ‘Sadness is on me – Ta’ Bron Orm.’ I love that because there’s an implication of not identifying yourself with the emotion fully. I am not sad, it’s just that sadness is on me for a while. Something else will be on me another time, and that’s a good thing to recognize.” -P.O. Tuama.
I love how my ancestors spoke and wrote about their feelings. I am identifying with this right now. However, I have substituted war for sadness. Sadness, nevertheless, is on me as well. Perhaps because one loves the other.
There is likely nothing to be gained from allowing the sadness to linger, nor the war. Through my choices I have brought the sadness, but the war was forced upon me. Millions of families in America and abroad have had war declared on them by Christo fascist thugs. These false Christian, (mostly white) nationalist shock troops have taken over the people's government. They are currently working to dismantle existing protections for minorities, women, immigrants- both legal and undocumented, the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized citizens.
