August is Gone, Hello September!

Here on the Outer Banks, September 1st always makes me happy. Those of you reading this who share this strand with me and the other 37,000 folks know what I mean. Gone, for now, are the days of navigating 300,000 extra humans.

We are thankful for the money they’ve poured into our little beach towns, and we are ready for them to leave this magical sandbar to us. Today is that day — in spirit, if not literally. A few continue to linger, and we will undoubtedly have a big Memorial Day crowd. But, for the most part, summer is on the wane, tourist demographics are changing, and we are breathing a collective sigh of having made it to this point, again.

Pre-orders for Wartime Publishers # 004 are still open. As an extra incentive, we are giving away seven copies of WP #003, EXTREME OF CONCIOUSNESS to the next seven people who reserve their copies of WP #004, “Confessions of an Outer Banks Tour Guide” and for my subscribers, this offer is good for the rest of the week.

Thank you!
